For a long time now I have been wanting to cater to my creative
nature. For me it is always difficult because I tend to take a long
time to develop a project. Whether it be a drawing, a photograph,
a poem, a design, or something as "simple" as making a blog.
Today because of such beautiful and unusual weather for the first
day of February I decided to take a bike ride down the bike
trail near my home. Little did I know how much I have missed
spending time outside and simply taking nature in!
This is what brings me to this point of finally deciding to stop
talking and just make something for people to enjoy, be inspired
by... or rag on(to each his/her own). I suppose I just want to get
my mind going as well as others'.
While riding, and before I ran over glass resulting in my tire popping...
which resulted in cutting my ride short.
I was thinking of what could be interesting enough to write, read,
think and respond to? Then I looked up. I saw so much simplicity
around me yet so much planned intricate detail at the same time.
I have always felt most at ease and inspired by nature.
Unfortunately, I tend to deprive myself of giving credit and
attention to God for His beautiful, mastery work especially in the
winter when its "too cold" to go outside.
Here is my apology and regret and promise to take more
intentional notice of the everyday things I encounter. There is so
much to be thankful for and so much to praise God for.
So that is the way my inspiration came... a bike ride on an
ordinary day in February. What will yours be? There is no
doubt in my mind that there is so much more wonder,
thought and idea sharing to come.
A simple way I would like to start this is to take photos and
record responses to ordinary things i experience everyday.
Whether it be thoughts, nature, people, animals, places,
conversations, books, movies, music, art, God etc.
I am excited ...
